iPhone Won’t Turn On? Stuck On Apple Logo? Here’s The Fix

If you are have an iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone 8 then follow these steps.
- Press and release the Volume Up button.
- Now Press and release the Volume Down button.
- Next press and hold the Side/Power button until you see the Apple boot logo on your device’s screen.
If you have an iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone SE, iPhone 5s or earlier, then follow these steps.
- Press and hold the Power button and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds and release right after your see the Apple logo.
Once the Apple logo appears on your iPhone, it should boot up and iPhone black screen issue should get resolved on your device.
In case force restarting iPhone does not work…
Has force restarting the iPhone not been beneficial in solving the iPhone won’t turn on problem for you? Then there’s another possible solution. Many times the iPhone is not properly charged and its battery is so drained that it is not even able to display low battery sign on its screen.
It is worth plugging in your iPhone to a wall charger using genuine charger and Lightning cable. When you do, keep the iPhone plugged in to its charger for at least one hour. If after one hour your iPhone does not turn on or you still see the Connect to power screen, then unplug your iPhone and clean its charging port to make sure there’s no debris stuck in it. It is also worth trying with a different Lightning cable in case the one you are using has some issues.
Part 2: iPhone stuck on Apple Logo?
In case your iPhone is turning on but gets stuck on the Apple logo, the following guide will be very helpful. Follow the instructions below to solve the problem of iPhone stuck on Apple logo and not booting properly.
We will be solving this problem activating the iPhone recovery mode and then using iTunes in order to Restore iOS on it. By the end of this tutorial you should have a normally working iPhone that is able to boot up without any troubles.
- First of all take a USB Lightning cable and connect your iPhone to the computer.
- Now its time to place your iPhone in recovery mode. Steps for this will vary depending on your iPhone’s model.
- If you have an iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone 8: Press and hold Side/Power button and the Volume Up button simultaneously. As soon as the power slider appears drag on it to turn off the device. Now keep the Side button pressed until you see the recovery mode screen on your iPhone.
- In case you have an iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone SE, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6 or older: Press and hold the Power button until you see the power-off slider and drag on it to turn off the device. As your iPhone is turned off connect it to your computer while keeping the Volume Down button pressed. Keep the button pressed until you see the iPhone recovery mode screen.
- Wait for iTunes to detect your iPhone. When it has detected the device it will ask you if you want to ‘Restore iPhone’ or ‘Update iPhone’. Choose the Update option so iPhone reinstalls iOS on your device without deleting its data.
At this point iTunes will download the appropriate iOS version from Apple’s servers. While it does so wait. Also, after 15 minutes your iPhone will automatically exit the Recovery mode. If that happens let iTunes download iOS first and then perform step 2 and 3 of this guide again.
